Brandt Snedeker won the Wyndham Championship by three shots after completing 29 holes in one day.
The 37-year-old American, who finished his third round earlier on Sunday, shot a final-round 65 to finish 21 under for his second win at the tournament.
Snedeker birdied the last to seal victory ahead of nearest challengers Webb Simpson and CT Pan.
Pan shared the lead on 20 under heading into the 18th, but drove out of bounds and could only manage a double bogey.
Snedeker had led from the start in North Carolina, signing for a 59 after the opening round on Thursday – only the 10th sub-60 round in PGA Tour history.
While he will go into the season-ending FedEx Cup play-offs – which start on Thursday – in fine form, last year’s Masters champion Sergio Garcia misses out on the event for the first time after finishing joint 24th in the Wyndham on 12 under.
Snedeker, with a 68, was one of 30 players to complete their third round on Sunday after rain caused play to be suspended on Saturday.
It was a ninth PGA Tour victory for the American, having come under pressure from Pan and Simpson, who recorded an eight-under 62 containing seven birdies and an eagle.
Snedeker, who also won the event in 2007, picked up shots on the third, fifth, eighth and 11th before his sole blemish on the 13th.
He regained the shot on the 15th and completed his victory in style by rolling in a long birdie putt on the last.
